Tabling Spring '07

This is the semester that I actually tabled more thna twice in the whole semester. I actually enjoy it b/c I havent been around the Pilipino community a lot and its my chance to see my fellow school mates. I also got close to my new buddy PJ. he's a cool character...but yeah...that's tabling..oh yeah..it was nice weather tabling...nice and sunny for once...

SOCC

I missed the concert because I fell asleep because of FED...Oh well...I enjoyed my sleep. But The last day of SOCC was pretty disappointing and sad. I really enjoyed the guest speakers speech however and it was nice to have her there. That's it...

FED DAY!!!

FED day!!!It was really fun..I enjoyed everything...especially the performances...The food was good..I helped to get the food. However I dint get to go to the workshops that occured before lunch. But oh well. THANKS PAOLA AND all the other volunteers and everyone else who helped.

FED Shadow NighT!!

Well...I was actually very tired at the end of it all...my hostee didnt want to sleep...she wanted to play Mafia all night...but eventually we all had a good 2 hours of sleep. Me and Ana had sort of a sleep over with our hostees...Walking around campus for the scavenger hunt was fun at the beginning but then I got tired...and then it was just ok...but yeah...thats shadow night!!!

2nd Intern/Staff Gathering

Today was the intern/staff gathering and it was fun playing those games...But most of all.. learned how to play more songs on the piano thanks to jackie!!YAY!!!

Office Clean UP!!!!

so we had the office clean up a couple of days ago...however..I went to the office today...and I could already see it starting to pile up a bit...but oh welll....it was...ummm....cool to finally throw some useless stuff away and see the room actually getting cleaned up...but yeah...until next time..

Prop 209 Rally!!!

I thought the Rally was quite interesting...it was the first rally I have ever been part of....I think that the rain added extra effects to it. But yeah....I really enjoyed it and I am excited for the future...

Senior Show

I think that the senior show put on by the seniors was cute...there were a lot of those cute skits and all the little cute performances...another thing about the senior show was that I think it kinda brought us freshmans a little closer together becuase we realize that our time will come when where we will have to put on our senior show and we're gonna realize how fast time flew by...so yeah...time is already flying by...I coulda sworn that it was still welcome week....

Purchase Orders...Tasks for Paola

Paola gave me some tasks that involved "purchase orders"...I had no idea what a purchase order was...so I asked some of the fellow PASS staff...and they told me. Bu tthe funny thing was that when I asked Jamba Juice if they take purchase orders, none of the workers or even the manager knew what a purchase order was...so I thought that was funny...thats it

Prop 209 meeting!!

I really enjoyed the PROP 209 meeting. It was very informative and inspiring. Im really excited in it also because Im going to still be in berkley when everything hits and I was inspired to somehow go out and get the word out...or just simply talk about race outside the classroom.

Call OUTS!!!!!

So Paola taught me how to do call outs like two weeks ago...then she gave me a list of schools to call and I was kinda scared but I got used to it. I felt kin of intimidated because I felt like I dint have all the info. that I needed to know. I was scared that the career counselors would ask me questions and I would be stuck. But overall, I ended up doing ok. I contacted 5 schools and got 1 or 2 call backs from the messages I left. call outs arent as bad.

Intern Run Meeting!!!!

We finally did it!!ITS ALL OVER!!!!Naw...it was fun...not as stressful..get it...get it... it was also very informative. I think that us interns did also a good job...but the one thing was that I didnt like the chocolate covered strawberries...only becuase I don't like chocolate...if they were white chocolate covered...the meeting would have been the best meeting I have ever been to...But yeah..overall...i think us interns had fun and enjoyed doing the meeting

Intern Run Meeting Prop Making Day!!!

Today...me and a couple other interns made th eprops for the intern run meeting...I had fun painting and cutting with a razor...however it was late at night and I was also very very very tired...but it was pretty cool...and I think we did a darn good job in being creative and productive...thats it

Bridges Community Dinner

Damn!!! The dinner was sooo good . . . I haven't had fried chicken in a long time . . . mmmmm . . . it was pretty cool meeting new people!!! Thank you BRIDGES . . .

Shadow Training Day

Today was a very nice day!! It was nice and sunny out..a good day for shadow training day. We had some good ice breakers today , they were fun. I liked the "hot, cold" game...but yeah. Thankyou to the PASS staff members who brought the food. Us interns brought a lot home. It saved some of our meal points. Overall, I think that the training was useful in that I leanred how to tour people around. oh yeah, Vaughns speech about the whole Prop (something) in 2008 made me and some other interns also excited. Thats one of the reasons that we chose to go to CAL. We wanted to make a difference somehow. Anyways, Shadow traing day was very informative and fun as well. Have a nice day!!
